  1. I can name a A LOT of animes that are better than some of the ones on this list. I mean, Fullmetal Alchemist (both), Death Note, and Attack On Titan belong here, but where did animes like Fairy Tail go?!

    • I agree fairy tail and SAO should be on the list but I wasn’t impressed by the character development of Madoka Magika and the resolution of the climax was a bit rushed

      • WOAH THERE SAO AND FAIRY TAIL ARE BOTH SO MAINSTREAM OF ANIME, YES THERE ARE WELL DONE IN ANIMATION BUT THE STORY FOR FAILRY TAIL FELT LIKE IT WAS WRITTEN BY A SIX YEAR OLD AND NOT TO MENTION THOSE WHO DO NOT ENJOY FAN SERVICE. BUT MADOKA MAGICA HAS A COMPELLING STORY THE ONLY REASON IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN RUSHED WAS BECAUSE THE MOVIES FOR THE SHOW CLEARED UP THE CONFUSION AND IF YOU CANNOT ACCEPT THE FACT THAT SWORD ART ONLINE WAS ALSO RUSHED AND HOE BAD THE SECOND SEASON WAS I SUGGEST YOU WATCH ALL 3 MADOKA MAGICA MOVIES AND THEN COME AND TELL ME YOUR POINT

    • Netflix only has the first 60 episodes of Fairy Tail, so it’s likely exempted

  2. How SAO makes it to any list of good anime is beyond me. I couldn’t even finish it.

      • I disagree. It could just be the gamer in me talking, but I really liked SAO. HATERS GONNA HATE XD

        • I agree with u
Sao is pretty much the best anime I have ever watched and I have watched a ton of anime

          • How many anime have you seen ? To consider SAO as the best you have to see one

        • Sao was my first anime and I haven’t seen much more but I love Sao because I could see me playing in real life not knowing the consequences

    • I love video games so I watched every episode of SAO 2 or 3 times because it was just geared to my interests. Some people like it, some people don’t. Even though it doesn’t fit in with all of the action shows on this list, I highly recommend Your Lie In April to everyone I come across. The ending was hands down the best ending to anything, anime or non-anime, that I have ever watched.

    • …I love Sao, and I just love the drama and action, and I like the guy who wrote the book, and made the show, I’m still waiting for Sao 2 in English dub thogh, but Sao is my favorite anime so far, ik, we all have different tastes, but idk how someone couldn’t like Sao! Sorry for strong feelings about Sao, but I love it sooooo much! 😉

  3. I also really liked Ouran High School Host Club.
Most Anime shows are all about fighting, murder ect ect
but this show is basically the total opposite and if your into romance/comedy/drama than Ouran is definitely your show, just saying

      • lol there arn’t any new episodes to OSHC the anime finished along long time ago, the book series is done too so good luck with that.

      • the anime that are on this list are what they should be, SOA is bad, the only reason people like it is because of the fighting scene in the anime other than that the plot is bad, the character development isn’t even there till around season 3 and the second season is full of incest

  4. I have seen almost all on this list. Madoka Magica was really dark even though it started off looking really childish, but I still really liked it.

  5. Yea it’s darkness sorta literally made me wanna hit myself in the hit n really just repulsed me, but it did look pretty 🙂

  6. soul eater should be on the list to. By the way are they making another season

  7. The fact that people consider SAO good greatly makes me fear for our future.

    • I think SAO is a starter anime. My first was Attack on Titan because I had heard so much about it, and I think SAO is becoming that way. And plus if you like video games, it draws you in because it is an idea that basically every gamer wishes was real. I mean a full dive video game? SCIENTISTS GET A MOVE ON! I love SAO and have seen every episode multiple times because it was only my second anime I had ever watched, and it really peaked my interests technology wise. I highly recommend Your Lie In April too even though it is more of a drama. It had, hands down, the best ending of any anime or regular movie or tv show I have ever watched.

  8. I really liked Black Butler, so I was hoping it would be on there…I also was hoping for Ouran High School Host Club. These series’ really appealed to me

  9. Heaven’s lost property, Rosario + Vampire, B Gata H Kei – Yamada’s First Time, and both Ikki Tousen Great Guardians/ Xtreme Xecutor are in the top of the amine’s with out a thought

  10. I don’t know any other anime to watch on Netflix that are good. I would like to search for one but the description on a TV show is never written properly and I fear that they have a bad description but the show itself is wonderful. Perhaps one of you can help? Any ides?

  11. Sword art online is my favourite anime and I would recommend it, they only have the first season but if you have a games console then you can watch season 2 – up to episode 17 at the moment on YouTube or just online. Season 1 was the best season though, no doubt.

  12. This list is missing important anime such as Deadman Wonderland, SAO II, Ouran High School Host Club, Psycho-Pass, My Little Monster, Lagrange: Flower of Rin-ne, NORAGAMI, The Devil is a Part-Timer, Black Butler, AND SO MANY MORE!!!
(I just created a list of my own dang it)

  13. I’m very surprised that Sword Art Online and High School DxD is not on this list -,-

  14. SEVEN DEADLY SINS SHOULD BE IN THE TOP FIVE OF THIS LIST!!! Such a good anime that surprised soooo many!!! Season 2 is going to be hyphy. Very pleased samurai champloo made it though, definitely a lost treasure and it deserves more episodes then what it got )’:

  15. Blue Exorcist is the best since one of the main characters Rin has my real name IRL and it’s also the best anime ever!

  16. Where is Black Butler???? What about Blue Exorcist??? Your Lie in April???? Seriously, who was in charge of making this list?

  17. I didn’t really like SAO but I love Fairy Tail I am also surprised it didn’t make the top 10 list.

  18. I’m Surprised Blue Exorcist ,Fairytail And SoulEater Wasn’t On This List

  19. Blue exorcist is great and I think they should have added The devil is a part timer to the list (netflix just removed it though so it doesn’t count anymore)

  20. Cowboy Bebop, Darker than Black, Steins Gate, Aldnoah.Zero*, KoS*, Nura*, Akame Ga Kill and Magi* are also top notch, but the first couple arcs for SAO are rubbish. Don’t rely solely on Netflix for animes, or you may walk away thinking silly thoughts like SAO deserving to be on this list.

  21. This list makes me sad. Not because the animes are bad but because Netflix doesn’t have a good library of anime. There is soo many amazing animes out there like One Punch Man, Ore Monogatari, Usagi Drop, My Hero Academia and soo much more. I wish companies like Netflix could see how profitable anime can be now. Even sites like Crunchyroll can not just stay afloat but thrive by just hosting anime. Soo much potential wasted.

  22. Guys Black butler should have been on here, also Magi should have been on here as well.

  23. Hey fun fact, half of the series’ you guys are complaining should be on this list aren’t even on netflix. It’s not a best of all time list.

  24. they should make a top ten cheesiest/sappiest/dorky (but still good) anime top ten. Ouran Highschool Host Club should be on there XD i love that anime

  25. No mention of BLEACH or Ghost in the Shell….wtf…I remember watching some of the Bleach series on television a few years back then found out it was on anime season online and that a new episode was being put up weekly. I watched it until they stopped making new episodes and was happy to see that it along with Ghost in the Shell are available on Netflix. Now if only they’d get the rights to stream Akira I’d be forever amazed.

  26. Fairytail, SAO and Yugioh should all be up there. First three and best three anime series that I’ve ever watched.

  27. I liked the Madoka Magica series, but i really think that SAO is missing, but most of these, I hear, are good.

  28. Sword art online is amazing, fairy tail makes me laugh and your lie in April was very slow paced but beautiful and moving.

  29. Love Sao and attack on titans,
btw when are they releasing both of their next seasons?

  30. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SAO season 3 is gonna be a live action film!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :'(

  31. I’m surprised Your Lie in April was not on the list it is a very moving beautiful anime. I also think Magi, Naruto, and SAO weren’t on the list.
